Tom Dumoulin won the Dutch time trial championships, but right behind were LottoNL-Jumbo’s men, second through fifth respectively: Stef Clement, Robert Gesink, Jos van Emden and Koen Bouwman.
Team LottoNL-Jumbo attacked continuously but ended empty-handed in today’s Halle-Ingooigem race in Belgium.
LottoNL-Jumbo’s Steven Kruijswijk finished the Tour de Suisse in third place overall behind winner Simon Spilak. He ended in sixth place behind in the time trial around Schaffhausen, where Rohan Dennis won.
Dylan Groenewegen sprinted to second place behind Marcel Kittel in the fifth and final stage of the Ster ZLM Toer – GP Jan van Heeswijk today in Oss, The Netherlands. LottoNL-Jumbo’s Primoz Roglic closed second place overall and Groenewegen took home the points classification.
Steven Kruiswijk holds third place overall in the Tour de Suisse after the eighth stage today in Schaffhausen. Peter Sagan sprinted to the win, LottoNL-Jumbo’s top rider was Daan Olivier in 22th place.
Primoz Roglic finished third in the Ster ZLM Toer’s fourth stage and slipped to second overall. Jose Goncalvez, who attacked with Laurens De Plus, won the hilly stage to La Gileppe and took over the lead.
Steven Kruijswijk climbed to fifth place in the seventh stage of the Tour de Suisse today to Tiefenbachferner. Simon Spilak soloed away to the win and took over the lead, Kruijswijk remains third overall.
Dylan Groenewegen followed up yesterday’s stage win with one in stage three of the Ster ZLM Toer today in Buchten, the Netherlands. The Dutchman of team LottoNL-Jumbo beat André Greipel and Moreno Hofland, making three team wins with Primoz Roglic’s on day one.
